Racism continues to plague Australian sport and society. While sport is often heralded as a social glue that binds communities and individuals together, the Collingwood Football Club-commissioned Do Better report and recent incidents of racial vilification remind us that it can also be divisive.
In session one of our two-part series we discuss the key issues and challenges regarding racism in community sport, the strategies that can be applied to address racism and how the community sport sector can move forward in tackling racism.
