Dr Mario Peucker
Dynamics of Violent Extremism
Victoria University
Dr Mario Peucker is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Sustainable Industries and Liveable Cities (ISILC) at Victoria University in Melbourne and a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Analysis of the Radical Right (CARR).
Mario has undertaken qualitative and quantitative research on the radical right and other political movements, dissent and socio-cultural inclusion-exclusion dynamics since 2003, both in Europe and Australia. His current work focuses, in particular, on exploring the boundaries of radical political dissent as a form of angry citizenship, the reciprocal dynamics between far-right and radical (antifascist) left movements, and the interplay between internationally connected online mobilisation and offline actions in local contexts.
